Recon
Sustainability - Energy - Economy
IN SHORT WORDS
Web application for preliminary energy, economic and financial assessments for the establishment of renewable energy communities (RECs).
TOOL DESCRIPTION
In the current release RECON refers only to the Italian regulatory framework and analyses residential users and considers photovoltaics (PV) for electricity generation. To obtain the feasibility analysis, a few easily available data are sufficient: the characteristics of the dwellings that may be involved and the PV system, the electricity consumption from the utility bill, and the incentives that one wishes to access. By registering and entering the necessary data, RECON returns a simulation of self-consumption and energy sharing by calculating costs, savings and revenues and financial indicators of the investment, considering different forms of financing, eligible tax deductions and incentives introduced by recent legislation. An arbitrary number of dwellings can be included in the analysis, grouped into up to ten clusters based on similar characteristics of occupancy, building envelope, electricity utilities and consumption. The tool is user-friendly and each step is guided by tooltips.
