Decidim

Decidim is a framework that allows users to create and configure a web platform for democratic participation to be used as a social network. The portal allows any organisation (municipal council, association, university, NGO, trade union, neighbourhood collective or cooperative) to create democratic processes for strategic planning, participatory budgeting, collaborative regulation-making, and urban space design. The platform makes it possible to configure spaces for the creation and management of participatory processes, to organise assemblies, to activate consultations and referendums, and to organise initiatives. Among the many functionalities offered is the possibility of holding meetings and conferences, activating polls, submitting proposals, voting, drafting shared texts and providing follow-up of results. The source code to generate the platform is available on Github.
